We hope you will find all the information you need about our Nursery & Forest School.
Kerswell Nursery & Forest School was established in April 2006 and we are situated in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, close to Twickenham Rugby Stadium. As an officially designated SEND Inclusion Hub, one of only 12 in the entire borough, we are proud to be recognised as a leading provider of inclusive, high-quality early years education.

The nursery is a short distance from Whitton High Street on a spacious site in Wills Crescent. Our leafy and quiet surroundings are a fantastic asset providing the children with a pleasant, green and open environment in which to learn and play. If you are looking for a nursery in Whitton, you will find our setting ideally located for local families.
We welcome a diverse mix of cultures to the nursery from Whitton and the surrounding area and offer families of all children aged 3 and 4 years, and eligible 2-year-olds, funded sessions up to 15hrs. As a leading nursery in Whitton parents choose, we also offer extended funding (extra 15hrs) to working families with children from 18mths.

Flexible Care & Opening Hours (Term Time Only)
At Kerswell, we move away from rigid sessions to provide a flexible approach that supports the needs of modern families. Our model is designed to support the diverse needs of working parents and those using funded hours.

The Core Nursery Day: 9.00am – 3.00pm

Early Bird Start: Available from 8:00am for all children.

Late Collection: Available until 4.00pm for families requiring extra flexibility.

The Working Parent’s Session: 8:00am – 4.00pm
Please note: We are a dedicated early years setting for children aged 18 months to 5 years. We no longer operate an out-of-school service or wraparound care for local primary schools.
The government provides a childcare calculator for you to get an estimate of how much funding you could get to help pay for approved childcare. As well as Tax-Free childcare it also calculates if you might be eligible for up to 15 and 30 hours free childcare, Tax Credits, Universal Credits, Childcare Vouchers or help whilst you study. Tax-Free Childcare will eventually replace Childcare Vouchers.
The government provide a ”better off” calculator so you can work out if you're better off with Childcare Vouchers or Tax-Free Childcare (you can't claim both).
